About the artist

My work is inspired by a love of nature, particularly moss! I am drawn to the subtle details and beauty in nature that often go unnoticed.

Behind my childhood garden fence stood an old oak tree, and I used to imagine it was home to tiny characters with their own hidden village. That early fascination with nature never left me, and it became the foundation for my work today.

As I grew older, I began blending my love of nature with an interest in history, designing rock-like characters in historical armour on wood veneer. I was inspired by the natural textures and colours of the wood, and a few of these earlier works can still be found on my Instagram.

Over time, my focus shifted toward creating smaller, cuter characters, though elements of those early designs remain; some Boggyvalls and Pebblins can still be found wearing tiny pieces of armour.

I wanted to move beyond painting and begin working with clay, so I could bring my characters to life and feel as though they truly existed.

Because each sculpture takes considerable time to create, I work in small batches rather than on a made-to-order basis. This ensures every piece receives the attention and care it deserves.

While this means some people may miss out on their favourite designs, there is always a new collection to look forward to - and each piece you bring home is truly one of a kind.
